Project: Dual-Occupancy Suburban Residence

Location Context:
This project is located on an open panhandle stand within a quiet residential suburb. The site is flat, north-facing, and surrounded by neighbouring properties. The irregular shape of the boundary lines, combined with privacy considerations, introduces spatial planning complexities. Additionally, the dwelling is required to comfortably accommodate more than one couple, prompting a multi-functional design solution.

Design Approach:
The architectural approach will be shaped by the client’s specific requirements, along with environmental factors including solar orientation, prevailing wind directions, privacy needs, and site access. Flexibility, separation of spaces, and comfort for multiple occupants will be key considerations.

Design Methodology:
To be developed in collaboration with the client, the design methodology will explore spatial configurations that allow for independence and shared living. Privacy, thermal comfort, and spatial clarity will guide the internal arrangement, while respecting the constraints imposed by the site’s unique geometry.
